White Wagtails
Is it just me, or are the white wagtails really going at it with their courtship right now? Until now, I’d only ever encountered them in pairs or on their own, but lately they’re flitting all around me in a flock, chasing each other through the brush and branches—and they aren’t exactly gentle about it, as evidenced by the bits of bark that fall off the branch when they take flight.
