WordPress wish-o-rama

Ok, not much to write about. The last days I added the resource section, up there ^^^. Take a look.

Although I get used to WordPress, I still wonder about the lack of comfort it has backendwise. First of all, it is a bloggin software, right!, but when you are trying to get a little beyond that e.g. add static pages wich have a different navigation and differen links you are set back to fiddle around in the sources of your template. Where is the apple solution to this? Widgetised sidebar is a good start…

What I would like to have is an overview over all the my static pages (preview / icon with id numbner.. whatever) and a couple of customizable sidebars. In order to add a specific sidebar to a static page, you just drag and drop it on the designated preview/icon. On the widget tab, you design your sidebars, just the way it is now. Guess this is how ApplePress would work… ;). Off course something like a subnavigation menu would just work the same way. Just drag those pages together in the order you want them to be displayed. Once done you drag this wohle submenu widget on the static page you want – same goes for blogroll/links. Drag and Drop everywhere…this would be nice to have.

At the moment I spent more time tweaking my template files with PHP-Tags, reading references and testing plugins than rather get on with content. Once more sad about having no clue how to code – and don’t tell me, I should shut up and learn it. I tried it! I tried it for over the last past half of my life and the pure truth is: I am no coder and probably will never be.
